Dr Jessica Tome Garcia is currently an associate director at the Michael JFox Foundation for Parkinson's research. Jessica is originally from Spain, where she obtained a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, from the University of the Basque Country. She moved to the US 9 years ago for a postdoctoral position at Rutgers University. Jessica works towards achieving a global sustainable development based on policy and science.
"I try  to have some time off outside of work everyday, which helps me stay both mentally and physically healthy."
"Try to understand yourself and what you want to do, and once you have that, it is crucial to find good mentors that will really help you achieve your goals."
