Return of the after-work hangouts!

​I was running late. Trying to rush through the late afternoon traffic of downtown Manhattan. I had been waiting the entire week to finally unwind and I was just a couple of minutes away from a nice cold beer. I parked and walked towards the meeting location: Sutton Bar Room.

As I entered the dim and cozy atmosphere of the venue, I could already feel the stress of the previous week lifting from my shoulders. I scanned the room recognized the INet-NYC board members- Aysegul, Angelina & Deep- and headed toward the lively table.

I met people from NYU, CSHL, and MSKCC, met some board members for the first time, and met Derya, a Euraxess North America Regional Coordinator. Her organization promotes career paths and funding for international postdocs (Euraxess/North-America). Stay tuned for our future events in collaboration with Euraxess.

In short, I had an amazing time, met interesting people, and had fun along the way. Definitely recommend it if you want to relax, laugh, and drink with friendly people after a hectic week. Hope to see you around on the next one and as always keep on shining!
